OH! Open House is a non-profit arts organisation and major grant recipient from the National Arts Council. Since 2009, we have brought some 15,000 guests on 7 art walks in distinctive neighbourhoods like Marine Parade, Tiong Bahru, Joo Chiat and Potong Pasir.
We work with artists to produce artworks that respond to space: a neighbourhood, a community, or even a memory of a departed place. In a landscape that is constantly changing, Singapore's neighbourhoods - even the heartlands - all have meaningful stories that artists evoke.
We're known for our annual art walks, but we do so much more. In 2016, we have also created No Man's Land, an immersive performance that was a story about the lost seas of Joo Chiat and its different denizens such as Shujjal, the migrant worker, and Kate, the Vietnamese art student. In 2017, we presented The Bizarre Honour, a living, breathing house of curiosities.
